Anyone out there have any sources where to get birds to help a pup train?  Pigeons?

I find them on Craig's List.

Get involved with hunt tests or join a field trial club. Someone will have some.

Use the search function and get in contact with Constructer (sp). He got me some nice birds for pretty reasonable. There was a thread earlier this year.

Cheers for the nice words guys, and I hope your dogs are doing well and have benefitted from the birds I've sold you.

MV-

If you do end up buying pigeons on CL, make sure they aren't the 'fancy' show ones as those don't fly well at all and will tempt your dog to chase. You want homers or wild (scrubs.)

I'm done trapping for the year, it's time to be selfish and focus on time afield with my guy  :IBCOOL:

I'll make a post afterthis seasons wrap up and when I get back to trapping as well.

Thanks to all of you for your help.. I just started on this forum, recommended from a kid who works for me.  Much appreciated, this is great.  Constuctoeur do you currently have birds for sale or do I understand your post to say not until later?
Again, thanks for all the info..

MVchocolate PM me your number. My buddy has some extras he'd sell. How many do you want? Where are you located?
