I know it's 2 hours away, but it's well worth the drive to take it to Charlie's Taxidermy in Tenino.
His work is second to none, from what I've seen.  He is a sponsor on this website and shares plenty of his work.  Check him out!

Cool, thanks for the recommendations. He's sitting on ice right now cause he won't fit in my freezer, so hoping to get him in somewhere today.

 :yeah:

That's what I am talking about!!

I found out about Charlie Smith when I was visiting a friend who has a house full of taxidermy.  A couple mounts stood out as especially nice - he said:  They are from a guy who lives up in your country.  Ever since Dale McWhorter closed up Lacey Taxidermy I have been looking and this guy is the genuine article.

I took my Muley to the guy in North Bend (can't think of his name off hand) but it turned out fantastic.

I shot my first buck this week and I took it to Buzzy Cook in North Bend.  My Buddy has used him a bunch and highly recommended him.  Based off what he has hanging around his shop I can't imagine being disappointed.

A taxi's quality and turnaround time is more than how far of a drive they are to me. Artists that do quality work AND are done in 6-12 months are worth a drive halfway across the state IMHO. 18-24 months is unacceptable to me  :twocents:

Those all look great!! I had a friend who took his up to Rods in Arlington and got a couple other recommendations for him so I went up to see his work yesterday and thought it was great. So I left it with him. Thanks for all the comments/recommendations, I really appreciate it! Here is a pic in case you didn't see it on the other thread.
