A5 cycling issue
« on: October 26, 2015, 10:17:09 AM »
Hey all, for the life of me in cant figure out why my shotgun isn't cycling properly so I'm looking for some input.  When I fire the first shot the chambered round is properly ejected, how ever a new round will not release from the magazine tube.  What mechanism allows a round to be released from the magazine tube?  Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

So the A5's have a lever on the left side of the gun (if you are looking down the sights that is). this lever if switched on stops rounds from feeding from the magazine tube. so I would start there. if this is not the case then I would look at what shells you are using and if your recoil system is set up properly. The A'5 have to have parts moved or removed in order to fire different types of loads. if your shells are loaded to light and your shotgun is set up for field loads it could be short cycling and the bolt is not coming back far enough to pick up a round from the tube or even engage the mechanism to release a shell.

I should have mention I have the new A5 so it doesn't have the magazine cutoff switch.  Sorry.  In regards to the shells It was cycling shells just fine the day before, cleaned it that night, and the next the issue started.  Not sure if a piece fell out or what.  If that is the case I haven't been able to find or think of anything that is missing after completely breaking it down and looking at it.  Thanks
