 This thread is on another forum and those guys are quite the detectives. By the 6 sided stars on the guy's collar and a couple of other things on the uniform. They have narrowed it down to a Non Commissioned Officer of the Austro-Hungarian Army pre 1918. It does look like he is in the back seat of a biplane. I just thought I would make up short follow up.
