Kuiu Teton rain gear
« on: November 01, 2015, 05:29:53 PM »
Just got mine in the mail today.. I thought it would be a little more quiet?. It's made with that slick "swishey" material. I'm also a little worried about it holding up to all the things with the sharp pokey thorns... I guess we'll see how it holds up. I'm heading out for Westside late archery elk on Thanksgiving.

I got the chugach set this year and for the first time ever stayed dry during my hunts. I'm sure the Teton stuff won't disappoint.

Something I tried for the first time, was a pair of gaiters. It wasn't the kuiu Yukon ones, just a cheap pair I had gotten off of eBay. These things protected the heck out of my lower legs.

We all know how hunting the west side is. The blackberry vines that wrap around your legs. And the snags that will tear thru anything walking in a clear cut.

I would deffinitally invest in a pair

Don't worry about it making a little noise. The rain itself makes noise. Nothing to worry about

Thanks for the feedback! I kinda thought the same thing about the rain. It makes enough noise to hopefully mask the clothing swooshing noise. I'm going to make sure I do some shooting with this stuff on though and see how the noise level goes.. Where I live at the moment it doesn't rain, so we shall see how the noise factor goes.. Can't wait to be back in the PNW tromping around looking for some late season Rosie's with my brother out on the SW coast!
