Swakane road conditions
« on: November 09, 2015, 03:20:08 PM »
I changed my mind, and I'm planning a trip to the swakane. What are the road conditions up there usually for late archery. Is it a good idea to carry tire chains? Thanks

Chains are a must.  We see a roll over about every year.

Even if there isn't a lot of snow those roads are still usually slick and slimy that time of year.

I thought they gated the main road down low this year.

That country scares me.

Chains are a must.....Snow up top right now which means ice and/or mud will be present at all times.  The mud is almost worse in my opinion.
