Alrighty all HW elk hunters.. Heading out for the late archery elk with my brother the day after thanksgiving. We're headed to the SW coast. Just curious what you all do for late season (post rut) elk hunting? What types of tactics are employed and is there anything that you look for, (terrain or food sorces) that say, Yep! There's elk in here?! I just know the late season is a whole different hunt than the early season.. So let's hear what you've got! It will be my 8th archery elk season. So far the elk have won every season.. I've seen elk and even had a few close calls, but just havent been able to notch a tag yet.. My brother and i each also have a deer tag in our pockets...
