Thanksgiving weekend

Anyone want to get together for a duck hunt?  I'll be heading to Vancouver from the east side for thanksgiving.

Not really sure yet, I'm  hoping I can get a day in of scouting before I hunt. I grew up in the area but never duck hunted there.

I would love to go duck hunting, but have never been, so I'm not sure that I would be any help. 

I'm in need of someone who can show me the basics.  I, of course, have hunter safety, a shotgun, etc. etc. but I've only hunted larger game (deer/elk mainly).  I do have a 14' boat, not sure if being out on the water would be better or not.
