Kuiu pack question
« on: November 18, 2015, 07:09:50 AM »
I am really excited about buying the Icon Pro 1850.
Thinking about getting the rifle carrier.

Anyone have any opinions on that accessory?

Thanks
Bryan

I've got it. I love it. Perfect day pack size. Meat hauling capabilities between the frame and pack. U can switch the bags out in case you need a bigger one for long trips. Check out the Kifaru Gun Bearer also. It attaches nicely to the icon pro and I'll never go back to using a sling on my rifle. You can get your rifle to your shoulder just as fast or faster.

I sling my rifle over one of the load lifters and that works great for me

I'm not too fond of the gun carrier.  For some it's great, but I'd personally rather them come up with a carrier like the Eberle's. :twocents:

The gun carrier is ok.  I can't reach my rifle with it so have to slide the entire pack off.  Maybe I just don't have enough shoulder flexibility.  Too many years on the bench press.  I use it some of the time when I need hands free or when I'm in rough terrain and need both hands free to scramble.
