Coweeman Cow Elk

Daughter has a youth cow elk tag for the Coweeman unit.  Going to head down 11/17 to try to fill the tag.  We have only hunted the Toutle area and are looking for any help on where to go to get it done.  Any advise or help would be appreciated.

We just got back from a 5 day hunt in the unit. Saw total of 6 elk. We put a lot of miles in walking and driving. That being said. There is a large alder bottom off the 4790 road. Not sure the number of the road that leads to the bottom but its off the 4790. The road is closer to where the 4790 and 4700 come together. The alder bottom is where we saw the elk but there were other hunters in there before we got there and did not want to crowd them.  Good luck on your hunt.
