Naselle modern cow tag help
« on: November 14, 2015, 11:41:32 AM »
I have never hunted the area and I am an archery guy, but a friend drew modern cow tag for Naselle.  Seeing if I can catch a few ideas to help a friend out.

seen alot of elk in that area but they were on private property. check the unit boundaries. go on google earth look for some state land. good luck. sorry never hunted that area hopefully some one will chime in and help. ive fished down that way alot. i know there is alot of timber land towards the grays river but i think it is part of the willapa hills unit.

What unit is the permit?
673 or 681 ?

Is he there?
State land up above the Youth Camp, backside of Radar Ridge, border of state and private timber land.
If he was interested in picking me up on his way down, I could show a spot I found this October, was a herd in there every time I went.
I just don't have fuel $$ to go there myself, and not excited about sharing GPS coordinates with someone I don't know...

Thanks for the help and offer but he is already down there right now and has been hunting hard in the eye of the storm and has come up empty handed.

Pretty ez tag.  I shot mine first day last year.  Be at the nawiakum (sp?) river Bridge at daylight.  Spot the elk out in the river bottom and sneak around the timber behind em.
