GMU 503 Advice - Late Season Archery
« on: November 18, 2015, 07:04:58 PM »
I'm planning on heading out to the 503 Unit (Randle) for late season archery. I've never hunted this area before and am more familiar with the South Rainier unit, which I've hunted for a few years. I guess my question is, how much public access do you have around the Huffaker Mountain area and specifically off the Skinner and NF-2505 roads? Are there gates that block access? I'm totally fine with gates, just want to have a better idea of where to park and start walking. Also, based on the GoHunt maps, it looks like further up those roads it's no longer public land...is that correct? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Genesis 27:3 - Take your bow and a quiver full of arrows, and go out into the open country to hunt some wild game for me.
