Late archery deer
« on: November 23, 2015, 09:25:08 PM »
Hey all was thinking about heading over to the omak \ sinlahekin area for the late archery deer season. Will be heading over for Dec 5-8th. Haven't hunted oveer there in a solid 10 years. With all the fires going on over there this last summer was wondering how it might effect the hunting. If you were to hunt the the late archery deer, which one of the 3 units (Sinlahekin, wannacut , or Pogue units ) would you choose to hunt and why. Any tips would be appreciated (no honey holes) , I will be taking my 19yr old archery hunting  daughter along this year and my main objective is put her on deer. Thanks Rodger.

Good luck to you and your daughter . I have only hunted that side of the valley a few times and it has been longer than 10 years ago  :'(. There will be deer in all those units and I would suspect the density to be about the same. Just go have fun and get sneaky, dress warm, and be safe.

MtnMuley, while not applicable to me I really appreciate you taking the time to keep all informed and legal with the current regs . Great help to the forum and members who probably do not want to be on the wrong side of our game laws.
