So the list of NA ducks is pretty long---
Black duck, Mallard, ?mottled duck (discussion of any pure mottles left), widgeon, euro widgeon, 3 sp teal (could count European common/ greenwing for a 4th), pintail, oldsquaw, harlequin, 3 scoters, redhead, 2 bluebill, canvasback, 3 mergansers, gadwall, ringneck, woody, 3 eiders (if you break common into two), bufflehead, fulvous and tree duck, shoveler, ruddy duck, 2 goldeneyes. You could add coots as well. That's 30-34 species. You could argue about really rare ones, but that pretty well covers it. If you add geese, you've got white fronted, brant, Canada, cacklers, snow, ross. I'm sure I've forgotten some. Please add to the list any you think of.
I anticipate heading to the Pribilofs for the King eider, and likely the outer Aleutians for pacific eider. Back to Maine for Atlantic eider and black duck. Mexico for well plumed teal and Brant. Those are a ways out due to kids college bills, but I would love the opportunity to get the divers and scoters first.
I live on the East side of the state, but would be happy to travel and pay for expertise and opportunity in the state if someone can get on the local available birds. I really don't have any more decoys and my dog is an old springer, not ideal for retrieving.
Any guides or experts available? Lokidog, where do you hunt? The Columbia is easy to get to, but as I said, I've got no gear anymore.
