The final stretch

Today I am finally able to get back out into the woods after a long break. I have ben unable to hunt these last couple weeks due to factors such as basketball, school, and family vacations. I have not spent near as much time out for late archery blacktail as I would have liked. I spent a bit of time early on and that's it; so now these last couple days are all I have left. It's that final stretch of the season where any deer, doe or buck, drops. It's great to see all of the wonderful animals that have been harvested this year, and I'm sure that a few more lucky people will be able to post up pics in these last couple days. It's down to the final stretch guys, and I'm sure there are many people in the same position I am. So good luck to you all, shoot straight and hit hard.

Nah I'm preparing for my evening hunt. I've got basketball soon so I'm not able to be out. Hopefully I'll post up some pics later!

I saw a blacktail buck out late in the day yesterday in a field near my house.  Very rare sight!  Decent rack, but I really didn't get a great look.  Good luck!

Perhaps a first light hunt on Wednesday morning - should be below freezing and clear skies.  The critters may come out and warm up in the sun that morning.

Well it didn't quite work as planned. Nothing seemed to be moving so it's time to try it again today.
