It will work fine.  If you are buying a new one I prefer a larger caliber.  The 243 is a great all around deer (closer ranges and broadside) and varmint gun.

Well if you don't like the caliber you can rebarrel for around $200
7mm-08, 308,.358,or .338Federal all are just a barrel change. There are others that will fit also with just a barrel change.

it's a model 10, not a 110...not that it matters much i guess. 110 is long action, 10 is short action. i have one in the same caliber courtesy of bankwalker that shoots lights out. great gun for the $$$ and for the ease of customization.
have fun with it.

If you look at my photos you will see the one I did some work on. Took the stock barrel off and put a flutted heavy barrel on it and camo work. They are great shooting rifles. Mine like 100gr sierra'a best.

My new Tika T3 Lite in .243 cal.
shooting my handloads, 62 gr Varmint Grenades 46.5 grs of RL 19. First 3 shots out of the box...all three in the same hole at 50yds.
