I am confused also. If you got the go ahead today from thr hc they would have provided  you with the landowner who is having problems. As far as i know you just cant go out and shoot an elk

You DO NOT get turned loose to go hunt elk on that permit.   The Hunt Master would only call if there are problem elk IN A SPECIFIC PLACE that need to be pushed out.

I assume you are a Master Hunter, but if you go hunt this w/o the Hunt Master (And get caught) you will be permanently removed from the Masster Hunter program.......   Zero tolerance within the Master Hunter program for hunting violations..

Well guys heres my personal expeirence with this hunt from a couple years ago. Once I got called the HC said I could go up without him after the day he took me out. Not saying that was right but that is what he told me. So I guess make sure of the rules before he tells you stuff.

You live up in that area Ranier10?
I have a cabin above it looking down towards Ellensburg, Wilson Creek/Reecer Creek area.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

I have seen the Hunt Coordinator a couple of times with hunters.  I have never seen guys hunting this permit without the coordinator with them.

I agree with your statement - it is more accurate than mine.

But, I don't think he'd ever call and just turn a guy loose on the Fairview hunt without taking or pointing the person to the problem area.
