Hot and Heavy! Happy New Year
« on: January 06, 2016, 10:32:10 PM »
Well, after about a box of shells, lots of hearing loss, and some awesome decoying sprigs, we finally managed to drop our 14! Happy New Year, hope the cold snap is treated you as well as it treated me! Lots of ducks and lots of memories!  Any recommendations of earmuffs would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like a fun hunt. I love getting into greenwings! Good looking Sprigs too!

Nice pins!  I've probably tripped over that bucket a couple dozen times in the last 15 years. Lol

How is the blind holding up?

The blind is BIG! I imagine you could hunt 6 guys out of it! A little big for my liking but the ducks don't seem to mind!

One thing I have to say about ear plugs. If they're actually needed, you need to talk to your partners about where they're standing when they shoot. Hearing protection is always good but safety is more important than a duck.
After a hunting partner shot at a duck on the far R side of our blind from the far L side of the blind and deafened me, he responded by saying I should wear ear plugs. My answer: I haven't invited him back.
