What does he score?

Yeah my scores compared were a little shorter on the front and longer on the back ... the first time I did it after my gut guess was 405!!!! and then I redid it thinking I was way off ... but after looking maybe I wasn't all that far off afterall!

Forget the score!!!  I stocked up the BBQ  Lets eat as the TAXI. Is working on my new WALL MOUNT!!!  He is a very cool looking bull.....Mass additude!!  That Bull would be my Trophy of a life time.

I'll take your word for it bucklucky, you have a lot more experience than me.  I didn't think his G1/G2s were that long.  Was I underestimating because it is a roosy and they have bigger bodies/heads than I am used to?

Well on Roosevelt Elk you get to count all the "crown" points as inches - there is no deduction for them.  That bull has really long crown points.  I admit to be better at gut feel judging than doing what Bucklucky did add attempt to add them up.  Looking over his numbers, I'd say he's pretty close though.  Shorter main beams, but solid everywhere else.  Average mass but he more than makes up for it in tine length.  He busted off his G4 on the left side at some point.  As he is in the first photo, I'd guess he is in the 365 class.  Photos can be difficult to judge accurately.  I recently scored a gorgeous 7x7 Roosevelt that grossed 305 and netted 296".  Bull of a lifetime for anyone.  Like I always say, a 300" bull is a very nice bull and most people over estimate elk on the hoof.

So I am not far off with my original gut feeling of 367! When ever I start trying to calculate the numbers down on paper it seems I just confuse things more I usally go with the first gut feeling by just looking at it and compareing it to a known score of something I've seen in the past.

My first thought was 380 to 390. I think Bucklucky is real close. I think his fifths are more like 19 and 18. I would say that he will gross over 390. Most people over judge bulls on the hoof with the exception of really big bulls. Big bulls get bigger when they hit the ground. This guy is really big. No ground shrinkage here.

Oh ya, Tom, I had to write the measurements down so you guys could see what I thought in my head was about a 390 bull gross. That was gutt. Put the measurements up to prove to myself what I thought gutt was pretty close.

I would shoot that bull, put the meat in the freezer get the real score on him and hang him on the wall and sit and stare at it and go wow!!!!! Nice bull
