Kinda' puts it in the same category as a Kittitas Petting Zoo bull.  Not too much glory to be had in either.

Is there no end to dishonest morons with big game tags?  What ever happened to simple honesty?  Why are so many who are so desperate for attention that they feel compelled to make up stories to demonstrate their "greatness"?  And why are so many willing to line up for hunting hero worship?  Shaking my head yet again.

To me it proceeded along like a second rate parody of hunting shows I had seen at friends' homes.

I watched the Vimeo clip without knowing that he had been busted and was pretty much sure I saw right through it.  It was just too hokey.  My buddy was arguing with me to see if he could get me to come his way, but I was dug in regarding my skepticism.  "I'm skeptical" was as far as he could move of me.

I think social media has bred a lot of folks who feed off of "likes" and get addicted to the attention they get from outlets like instagram and facebook.  Some even elevate to the status of getting free gear or discounted gear.  Along with that, guys and gals want bigger and "better" animals to show off.  One more reason social media is a curse as well as a blessing.  I very much enjoy sharing my adventures on social media but have absolutely ZERO interest in ever trying to "compete" in the hunting industry.  Luckily there are many honest and legit hitters out there doing it right.

Personally I think quality pictures and a good "story" carry more weight than a big rack. Sure everyone likes big antlers but more and more folks want substance.  Especially among the non hunters.  I know that on my own FB page, posts about hunting with my wife, or my nephew, or my kids, get as many or more likes as 180" deer.  I like this because it reaffirms my belief that most are after the experience.
