I'm curious what "being offered" a damage tags means. Did you apply for it or is it a master hunter thing?

I am not a master hunter. The wdfw issued kill permits to the landowner, who can hand them out to whoever he wants, butbhe can't sell them. The orchard was issued 24 tags because the elk are in there doing a lot of damage to the trees. So when I say I was offered one, I meant I was asked by the guy handing the permits to people if I wanted one. I actually received the last one, and killed the 24th cow

That's a good one, with all the snow this year the elk will be showing up in lots of places were there not welcome.

Nice healthy looking cow. Congrats on a laid back fun and successful opportunity to fill the freezer.
