Backpack hunt partner
« on: January 14, 2016, 08:58:36 PM »
How is everybody doing, I am thinking of bear and deer season next year and getting to new remote areas to scout early next summer. I am a father of three with a wonderful wife at home and my first goal when solo hunting is to get back home. I am a experienced backpacker and hunter ( have lots to learn still ) and would like to become friends with another hunter that has the same attitude. The type of hunting I enjoy ( as all you other backpack hunters do) is the challenge of the terrain, finding virgin hunting ground that sees little to no pressure and is a challenge mentally and physically with the hope of getting that animal that has never seen a human and is just a high quality animal that I can respect. A hunting partnership could be a blessing for the both of us because we can help each other get game, have a more safe experience and have help with the pack out. The one thing is, is you have no idea how a person is going to act when the pressure is on and your getting your ass kicked in the woods, guys I have taken don't understand why I like it but I guess I am just one of those guys. I would like to meet someone that takes backcountry hunting seriously, meaning they have quality gear, experience and patience. Have medical first aid experience and a high respect for how deadly nature is, but we would only know if we could have a quality hunt by spending some backpack time together and trying it out. Also have to be in shape ( meaning BACKPACKING shape, you can bench 400 lbs and run a 4.5 40 but your ass is grass when you get to the mountain. The hunter has got to be a backpacker that is not a Whiner )If you are one of those hunters, give me a message and we can go from there. I am most familiar with the north cascades skagit county area Sauk suattle drainage ( little bit ) and cascade river drainage ( want to investigate more) and have been through a good amount of it but there is so much more to explore and It is such a wild and productive area. Let me know, memories are to be shared and recorded for the next generation you and I can help each other make that happen. Thanks
