Potholes ice

Just curious if anyone was over duck hunting at potholes this past holiday weekend and if the power lines launch by crab creek was open or still locked up? Or if any other launches and water is open on potholes?

The western WDFW launch on the main lake was open last Friday. Ice was broken up at the MarDon launch and the eastern one had ice out to about 20 yards.

Don't try crab creek. Foot thick ice. The ice is back at Mardon and the launch by the state park across from the gas station is open if you launch off the point. (Just like when the water is low.

Ducks are not hard to hit, they are just easy to miss.

Haven't seen too many birds over potholes, they are mostly towards vantage and up north.

I question the wisdom of asking that question on an open forum.
