I was just trying to see where you drew the line. There are those that think that auction tags shouldn't be eligible for the record book and it was sounding like you thought that draw permits should have their own category when you said "It's more impressive to get a trophy animal during the general season." Maybe I was reading in to it too much but it sounded like you weren't impressed with his elk if it were a permit versus general season. I don't know if he shot it with a permit or general tag.
Any elk, bull or cow with a bow is impressive to me whether it is general season or a permit.
Probably a discussion for another thread I guess.

You should send in any field photos you have of you with the bull and see if they get published in the next book.
