I've been playing with the idea of getting a small POV camera to film outdoor excursions, as well as to use for family time as well. In the small amount of real research I've done, I've come to the GoPro Hero 4 Silver or Black, and the Sony 4k Action Cam. These seem to be towards the top end of what is out there and "affordable". I lean towards the Sony because of the zoom capability and that its an optical zoom, not digital.
Does anyone have any input?
