How do you get the stink out of mink
« on: February 03, 2016, 08:53:48 PM »
These mink stink. I tried scrubbing them with dawn, but it doesn't help much. I didn't cut the glands but these bucks stunk up the traps and them selves. What do you folks do to get the stink out of mink

wOW if Dawn didn't help then just dry em somewhere where you don't have to smell em.  Never had a bad mink stinker.

Give yourself a little time, you'll discover you will develop a liking for the smell of mink.

1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1/2 cup of baking soda and a tablespoon of Dawn Dish soap.  Mix it in a plastic bucket and add a little water.  Wash your mink or skunk in the mixture, lather it up good and then rinse in clean water.  Smell will be gone.

Anytime!  Also you cannot premix it, it has to be mixed and used, can't be mixed and stored.
