Shout out to seekins precision cs
« on: February 04, 2016, 05:01:37 PM »
Got off the phone with an employee at seekins, great cs from them on fixing my screw up. I installed a rail on my rem 700 and managed to strip the short screw and I was thinking they messed up and sent me the wrong screw. He told me one is supposed to be very short and only have about a thread to hold. This is to alleviate any interference issues on the front screw and the barrel.
Told me that running it with only 3 screws would be plenty strong but they Are sending me some new ones anyhow.
Just thought I'd share.

I have a friend that works for them as their barrel machinist. He was able to give me a tour of the plant in operation. What impressed me the most is their discard pile. The quality control there is amazing and the show room is pretty cool also.
