Fishing quides on the quinault? Any suggestions?
« on: February 07, 2016, 02:42:15 PM »
My dad has decided instead of and elk hunt he wants to take my brother and I on a guided fishing trip for springer's on the Quinault river.  The first guide I looked at was Fred Easton with Quinault fisher king guide service.  I know a great guide on the frazeir in Canada but only one fish a day just doesn't justify the drive.  Do you guys have any suggestions about the Quinault for guide's ??

You fished with him?  What did he charge you and how many fish can you kill?  Thanks

I've fished it a number of times, but only with Robbin Rhodes and he's not in the guiding game anymore.

Met Clay Butler a few times, seemed like a very professional guy. Never heard anything but positives about him.

Are there enough springers in there to make it worth it?
Probably at least a slim chance to catch a truly special one, maybe.

Letty is a woman.

I haven't fished it in a few years - I don't remember prices, but I'm sure you can google up her web site.   She's right in the middle of the game and knows what's going on there.

IF the fish are there she will know.   If she can't take you, she will hook you up with another decent guide.

As per the previous post, I have also heard good things about Clay Butler - but I haven't fished with him.

There always has been a run tmk, but I think it (like most of the spring runs on the coast) is at least somewhat depressed.

WildmanOutdoors seems to know a lot about what goes on around the Quinault. Maybe he'll chime in.

I'm still going to put him in for all the hunts, he has a bunch for the disabled category so I'm still hoping he will get that one.  He just feels his hunting days are numbered, but you know how long he's been saying that.

Forget springers. Look to late October on the queets. Kings and silvers galore with big bag limits.
Clay is one of the best but good luck getting a date with him.
I sent you some info. Get booking now. Late October fills last October.
