Revolver holster
« on: February 17, 2016, 09:20:24 PM »
I'm lookin into buyin a single action revolver. Ruger vaquero in 45 LC with the 5.5 barrel to be specific. Lookin at some holsters on line and wasn't really seein anything cool that catches my eye. I am lookin for the stereotypical cowboy type rig. Anybody know anything like that? Thanks.

Cabela's used to carry Cowboy Action Shooting leather. Check with them or some CAS site. I've got a couple holsters but they're left hand.

If you were interested in a Vaquero in 357, I would be interested in selling you my Galco holster and cartridge belt. Barely used. Not a cheap rig...go on there website and check them out. Think the loops are to small for 45lc.

My woods/fishing gun is a Ruger Super Blackhawk 4 5/8, I have a Bianchi Lawman.  I had a very hard time finding a hoslter locally. got it a opticplant.com for $89  It rides very nice on any belt I have, and it fits the gun perfectly

I normally run around the woods with a Black Hawk 44 special with a 4-5/8" barrel in a El Paso Saddlery cross draw holster. They have quite a few holsters to choose from and are great quality.

Look up Diamond D leather in Wasilla Ak.  They make a Guide holster that sits across your chest.  I have thought about it a couple of time as an alternative since I wear waders a lot when carrying.

Bianchi made flap holsters for Ruger and they are great holsters.  I have a few of them.  They can be a bit difficult to find is what friends who see mine and want one say.
