Yes it is, it's just a really, really weird-looking deer. ;)
can I use my deer tag??
I wouldn't recommend it. :)
A colorful old game warden I was privileged to know always answered "Can I .." questions with "You can do whatever you can afford."
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I shot the Mule Deer in 2007.  Still in Velvet even though it was October.

Massive body.  It took 3 shots into the lungs before it finally dropped.  (only 75 yards away).  First shot probably finished it, but I tend to keep shooting till it is down!

And in the spirit of "that's not a deer", The pronghorn is from 2004.

This blacktail is from S Kitsap.

The craziest blacktail rack I have ever seen though is a buck that was on one of the islands.  Antlers went up about three inches and then looked like a couple cantaloupe melons or coconuts.   It used to feed right by a friend's window from his apple tree and it must have had two hundred points on each side and they were like hooks.  He has photos, I will try to get one

This one had a bit of palmation going on.  They are not at all uncommon with much more palmation on the south Kitsap Peninsula
