Discontinued.  Not sure if this is quite what your looking for but I have been using this for camping and hunting for a couple years now. Works great and is pretty light at 1 lb 10 oz.

  REI has same chair different design, better design.  I packed this first time last year and it was great.

Flex lite chairs are pretty cool. My dad got me one a few years back and I have used it all over the place and it packs down small and light enough to carry unless you are an absolute die hard weight shaver. I have the monarch butterfly version and carry it backpacking with me often and love it. However, being that is has 2 legs sitting is a little bit of a balancing act and they sit very low to the ground so getting in and out can be a bit of a pain if you have some flexibility issues.

I was surprised to learn that the Monarch isn't a whole lot lighter than the Flex Light. For $10 bucks and 5 oz difference I think I would go with the extra two legs.

Here is a comparison.

Keep an eye out on rokslide. That's where I bought mine and I'm never selling it. :)

I just picked this up at REI. 1 lb. 1 oz. Looking forward using it. It seems very durable.

It would be easy as pie to make a replica Kifaru field chair.  All you need is some Cordura nylon fabric and extremely basic sewing ability.  It's totally one dimensional and you couldn't mess up Cordura with an actual hatchet.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

If you bought a Kifaru Cargo Panel and sewed a couple of cordura sleeves into the top end of it for some hiking poles or aluminum poles to slide into, you could use it as a chair or cargo panel. Something like this....

I made this one, but you could do the same thing with one from Kifaru if you're not handy with the sewing machine.
