Seeking elk bowhunter(s)
« on: February 21, 2016, 01:47:40 PM »
It sorta feels like I'm putting up an online dating ad -  :chuckle:

I don't have many people in my network who hunt, fewer who prefer bowhunting and even fewer yet that have the same appetite I do for the backcountry. I'm hoping to connect with a few like-minded people who are interested and committed to chasing WA elk including pre-season prep.

I enjoy getting out way from the crowds so difficulty and/or distance attract me to places much more so than it would ever drive me away. I could care less if we pick out new areas or pick from our collective areas but looking to get in and around elk, gain experiences, get to know a few folks and if we're lucky, get into a few shot opportunities.

PM me if you're an interested solo or a part of a small camp looking for a +1.

Do you like long walks on the beach and pinna coladas?   :chuckle:
Seriously, where are you at and what side of the state are you thinking?

You may have more luck if you would let people know where you are,  and a little more info.

Stop it, that's awful.  Now I won't be able to get that horrible song out of my head.

Pina Coladas and a dance could likely ensue if anyone I'm hunting with is successful.... maybe. :-)

So, a bit more detail.
  • 45 years young, ex Navy
  • Native NW. Backpacked, climbed and summited many of our surrounding mountains.
  • Live & work in Seattle (unfortunately)
  • Single but running two companies so planning ahead for scouting & hunting is key. Time off, not so much of a problem as long as the businesses are doing well.
  • Desired hunting area; my experience is westside only, but could be convinced to go east

Does this help?

Much better.  That should help you out quite a bit.

My dancing? No, I'm a male version of Elaine from Seinfeld, sorry.   :IBCOOL:
