If your not set on a "trophy" bull, why not spend some time hunting the Westside where you can shoot a branch bull on a general tag. Maybe even a stud. You could continue to build points and when you get that trophy itch, you'd have points to back it up.  :twocents:
Fish hard, hunt harder!

Personally I think the muzzleloader hunts are the best. Bulls are still usually rutting. Archery would be fun too if you're an archery hunter. Peaches ridge or coluckum are both excellent units!

Go where you are comfortable hunting and know the area. Sure some areas are known to produce great bulls, but most units hold a few gems. If you already know an area, pound it harder until you know it like the back of your hand. Will help make your success rate go up and you will not have the added pressure of finding new area and trying to learn it in a short period of time. Even the great units take a lot of work to produce a 380"+ bull. There is a reason they're tough to draw and why success is not 100%. Set a goal of what you want to kill, 340+, 300+, whatever you are after. Look what areas you already know and find out what a kill able bull is. If it fits your goal number, apply there. Unless you have a few guys throughout the state that can help with info and scouting, stick to what you know. Will make it a more comfortable trip with a lot less stress. Good luck.
