can you launch a boat there right now? soda and long lake are dry im wondering if the water levels are normal there to launch.

You should be able to launch.  But, levels are still LOW, LOW, LOW.  Irrigation canals should start running closer to the end of this month and start filling Scootney.

Paper say's the 15th is when that canal will start flowing

hmmm. im heading over on the 18th, i wonder if soda lake would be any good when the waters are that freshly opened

I usually wait a week, but if its up enough to launch, then you should be able to find some fish.

I just took a drive to get the dog some work and turns out the paper lied. The canal is running, soda is up to half full. You can put in at either launch.

oh crazy! that fast huh? does long lake fill at the same time or starts filling when soda is full?

same I think. The only dam I no of to hold the water back after soda is on scootney. I think it starts backing up from there and fills everything up stream. But I cant confirm that.
