GPS?

I'm just looking for some advise on a hand held GPS, what would you guys recommend and what do you all use while out hunten? I've never used a GPS and wouldn't even know where to start when I get one. I'm mainly buying one for our first trip to montana and I'll be putting the montana property app on it for help with boundary lines while were there. Thanks for any advise you can give...

Rhino 650T on sale at Cabelas now for $369 GPS and radio. Very handy. Weve been using the Rhinos for close to 10 years now. Nice to be able to keep track of your buddies. Or even walk right to them if necessary by using your gps.

Cool thanks guys, what do you think about the garmens, are they comparable to rhino's? Also I was looking at all the options for maps on team Hunt but it looked as though their maps are only compatable with garmens? Is that accurate? I'm obviously brand new in this regard.

Rhinos are made by Garmin. They have an integrated FRS/GMRS radio. If you have another partner with a Rhino you can communicate and keep track of each other's location. If you don't have a partner with a Rhino, the extra cost of the Rhino over over GPS units is not worth it IMO. They're heavier and the user interface is not as easy to navigate. I have several Rhinos and several other Garmins. I prefer the 60 series (62, 64) personally unless I'm hunting with someone that also has a Rhino.

Oh ok that makes sense. No my partner won't have a rhino. So what would you recommend just for myself? Hoping for something more compact and easy to use being that I'm not a tech savvy kind of guy . I'm more interested in something that'll show property boundaries really well more then anything.

Ive been using 62st for several years.......no camera, no radio, better battery life.  My friends that have rhinos like my 62 more than their rhinos.

I just picked up an Oregon 650t and really like it.

Yeah I was looking at the Oregon and Montana's, sounded like the Oregon's had better reviews then the montanas.

I would recommend going with a Garmin Rhino. If you have the Rhino, maybe your buddies will get one too. They are on sale a lot, and you can get one for the same cost as an Oregon. I have owned both, but use a Rhino.
