Quote from: jmscon on Yesterday at 10:21:29 PMConcealed Pistol License (CPL) allows you to carry a loaded pistol concealed under clothing or in a purse. Pretty sure it allows a loaded pistol in your vehicle. No seven day waiting period when purchasing a pistol. Without a CPL you can open carry, pistol in your vehicle if unloaded and heading to the "outdoors".I have a CPL but still don't carry just to make things easier, don't even carry loaded pistol in the truck. Just takes the gray area out of the equation if I do get stopped and my pistol is in the truck. Also got it because I get a few jobs in some shady parts of town and was reading about a lot of shootings, still think about it now and then.Without a cpl, you can legally conceal carry while loaded in your vehicle while heading to the outdoors (because of the exception in the RCW ).Unless your firearm is locked away in the vehicle, it must remain on your person if loaded. Even with a conceal carry permit.
Apparently I need to review the laws again. Something else confusing, isn't having a loaded firearm in your vehicle while hunting illegal? Or is it just a loaded rifle, loaded pistol okay with a CPL?

You really should get a CPL.....it just makes life easier and takes out all the questions. You should also probably take a basic pistol class that will answer this and a lot more questions that you are bound to have.

Carry around the Constitution. That's the real law of the land. The 2A.
