Exchanging your tags
«

My group is putting in for an Oregon deer hunt, but it occurs at the same time as the westside muzzy early elk season. I'm thinking that if we draw the Oregon hunt, we should be able to exchange our Washington muzzy tags for rifle tags some time this summer before the deadline (Sept. 20th). Is this correct? Has anyone had experience exchanging your tags? I've never done it before and want to make sure it's going to work as advertised.
Thanks for any tips or info.

Not if you put in for special permits.

Bullpacs; you're right, but I just got off the phone with DFW and they said that the Points Option is exempt. That is, if we only do Points in Washington, we should be able to exchange the muzzle tags to mod. fire prior to the 9/20 deadline.
