Vortex HD VIper 8x32
« on: May 01, 2016, 08:17:38 AM »
I am looking to get a compact set of binocs to use in the field.  Have a good pair of full size glass but would prefer something lighter on my chest all day.  Looking to spend between 500 to 700 bones.
Looking for opinions on this glass.  I would love to get a used pair of swaros but pretty tough for that cheap.

Thanks,
Bryan

Zeiss Conquest all day long for that $.
Nikon Premier, Swarovski SLC.
There are a lot of choices I'd make before Vortex.

I have a pair of viper 6*32 that I've used for 3-4 years. I like them, also have a pair of talon 8x32 hd and like them as well. The 6x are pre hd glass but are still clear and pretty sharp. One side fogged up a couple years ago, I sent them back and they fixed them. I'm out in all weather. Had a pair of Burris 8x32 signature compact that were really nice, compact, 16oz and pretty sharp but they fogged up too but not repairable.

We have the same 6x32 Viper they are our most used binocular.  They are really a great little binocular.

Bryan,
I have a pair of the HD Viper 8x32's and love them, but there might be some cheaper ones out there that you might like just as much.  Check out these binocular reviews.
