Another lawsuit

Why can't we change the law on these lawsuits? The whole thing is just a cash cow for these people. They sue and we end up paying both litigants.
How anybody in there right mind could think wolves are in trouble in ID is beyond me. I don't think these groups really care about anything but funding themselves through lawsuits.

It's is pretty sad what the world has come to in reference to lawsuits, there should be real stiff penalties for the person who sues and ends up losing. Like people who sue because they drop a hot cup of coffee in their lap, that type of stuff. As for these type of lawsuits for wildlife, they should have to pay every dime to both sides of the courts do not award them, people would think twice about b.s lawsuits..

They're using our money to sue us. It's government grants that keep these slimes above water so the money they are suing us with is paid for by us. Makes a lot of sense. Not

The animal rights organizations aren't getting grants. They're having their legal expenses refunded by the government under the Equal Access to Justice Act, or EAJA. This was signed into law in 1980 by outgoing President Carter. It was supposed to protect the "little guy" for suing the federal government so he'd have a fair chance of presenting and winning a case against a raft of government attorneys. What it's turned into is a cash cow for the animal rights groups and their in-house legal teams. In addition, it's used frequently by major corporations to fight federal changes in laws which affect them negatively. Chemical companies have sued the EPA when restrictions outlaw the use of dangerous chemicals. Petroleum companies have sued when safeguards against oil spills and problems related to fracking cost them more money. It is rarely, if ever used by 'the little guy". The law should either be amended or removed. It costs us billions of dollars per year, and much of it on frivolous suits.
"Restricting the rights of law-abiding citizens based on the actions of criminals and madmen will have no positive effect on the future acts of criminals and madmen. It will only serve to reduce individual rights and the very security of our republic." - Pianoman https://linktr.ee/johnlwallace https://valoaneducator.tv/johnwallace-2014743

:yeah: I'd have to agree as I wasn't sure but it all comes down to the point that's it's still our money no matter which convoluted way they go about staying in business. Thanks for setting me straight on that!

Unemployed lawyers have been doing this for years in Washington DC. Start a non-profit with a "cause" and create jobs for you and your buddies.

I was told this by a attorney friend who lived there in the early 80's.
If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

Voting for Democrats is prima facie evidence you are a skirt wearing, low T, beta male. Do better.

We need to pressure our US Representatives to change the law, that is the only way to get change, write your US Representative!

Don't bother writing our US Senators, they are both wolf lovers.
Americans are systematically advocating, legislating, and voting away each others rights. Support all user groups & quit losing opportunity!
