Cheney Antlerless Moose Access?
«
on:
June 14, 2016, 09:56:27 AM »
A buddy "accidentally" (think he hit the wrong hunt when submitting his draws) drew the Cheney antlerless moose tag and doesn't have any contacts in the unit. Anybody have any suggestions on areas to focus or some landowner contacts that might have some moose hanging around? Looks like mostly private, but maybe there are some public blocks that might hold some moose?
Thanks for any input!

If I had that tag I would honestly just drive around and look for moose. Once you spot one make contact with the landowner and see if they would allow you access for a cow moose once the season opens. Get a few landowners to allow access and you should be able to fill the tag.

These are the guys who have the elk raffle by Turnbull, maybe see if they can help connect you into their landowner network?
