Moses lake area Bass
« on: June 26, 2016, 10:11:53 PM »
I have only ever fished for trout and walleye, but I want to try fishing for bass.  Does anyone have any references I could watch or read or have any suggestions on lures and techniques? Thanks guys!

Haven't spent much time on Moses as I usually opt for the reservoir. However, I would think trying docks with spinnerbaits, drop shot, even topwater early as they should still be relating to the fry? Best bet would be depths out to 20' and throw a little of everything their way until they tell you what their mood is? Smallmouth are pretty aggressive, shouldn't be too difficult to get on some kind of pattern.

Good luck and let us know how you do?

Are you going to be fishing in a boat or from shore?

We did pretty good Yesterday, I wont claim to know it all...but I would be happy to hook up and show you a few things about the lake , black and dark brown was the ticket for us also. They are seriously loading up on craws, some of the bigger fish we landed had claws coming out of every hole in their body.. :yike:..there is a decent bloom in the water right now, visibility is pretty bad....Shoot me a pm

Didn't get a single bite today. Threw plastics, plugs, spinners, and tried frogs. It was pretty windy and started to downpour. Hard2handle are you talking to Rasbo or me?  :sry:

Heading to Potholes Reservoir, do you know if it's in algae bloom as well currently?? Also, what's a good site for the current water level? Thanks!

Is it just kind of a medium speed retrieve with these? I just picked some up and I'm going to try them on Moses Lake when I get off work tonight

if Im in a area with weeds I will speed it up and run across the tops,I like to fish areas with that are shallow with nice drop off close..I just play around with speed to see where the are hanging

Is this the right lure? It's the only boo yah spinner I could find at tri state and its 1/2oz I also got one with a black and red skirt.
