Unless it is wearing Mardi Gras beads, a pirate hat, or a horse blanket, how are you going to know it's buttons?  She looks just like another elk to me.   :o

Just like with people, if you spend enough time around them youll recognize them.  I have plenty of what i consider "miscellaneous does" at my place, but theres a half dozen regulars that i recognize the second i see them.  My one really tame backyard deer that is here all the time, i can see her on the other side of my pasture and know its her.  Spend enough time around the same animals and theyll start to look different, and have noticeably different personalities.  I bet every black lab owner on here could pick theirs out of a lineup in half a second.

:yeah: I spend a lot of time staring at deer and elk and after awhile it becomes very easy to identify...

That's an elk steak, that's a deer roast and they all have their own unique tastes. Any person who's stocked their freezers each year knows the difference in a line up in a split second.

I think elk and other barnyard animals pee on the ground.
That is the original transgender bathroom.

It seems to me that the ground would be a genderLESS bathroom.  But, what do I know.  I identify as my own gender.

I raise cattle and we take really good care of them. We brush them several times a week I feed the quality hay they get a bit of grain every night. Then I shoot them in the head and eat them. Is that wrong? I sure don't think so. So to me this elk is more like a cow then a dog.

I don't take pics but I do have a few painted skulls hanging in my barn. For me I get the same satisfying feeling when my family sits down to eat food we raised together as I do when we eat wild game. I just don't see the difference other than I didn't raise that elk.
