Installing a peep
« on: July 08, 2016, 09:45:06 PM »
Does the peep need to be tied in or will it just stay there w/o being tied in?
 thanks!

Tie it in, YouTube has some quick instructions. It will move on you or launch at some point.

Needs to be tied in so it doesn't move up or down.

Always tie in your peeps. That is if you like your bow and your eyes.  :chuckle:

Mine isn't tied in. Love to hear Radsav weigh in.

You may well never have an issue. But why risk it over an 8 inch piece of serving.  :twocents: not just it flying out but it could also slide a bit and you not notice. Causing a miss. You can also fix some rotation issues with how it's tied in if it doesn't rotate perfectly.

I've seen one fly out on the shot and it wasn't pretty or fun.  :chuckle:

To me, it's another thing that can break in the field.  :dunno: If you forget to pack your extra tubing, you're screwed.

Huh? Tying in the peep doesn't have anything to do with tubing... Just the serving that ties around the string to hold the peep in. I agree get rid of the tubing.
This is what I'm talking about in the pic

Use good strings and ditch the tubing.

I completely missed the point. I thought he was asking about the rubber tubing peeps to keep them straight. Never mind!  :chuckle:
