Elusive little kitty cat
« on: July 09, 2016, 03:16:41 PM »
Anyone have some advice on the most effective setup to nab this sucker? It's been on my camera a number of times, though I've seen it once while bear hunting last year, but only out of the corner of my eye. At the time I was using a mouth caller - not very well in my opinion - when he came up from behind me. Since I saw something tan and moving I moved fairly quick, fearing that I may have been on the unfortunate end of a larger critter. Needless to saw it was smaller and took off in a hurry instead.
The spot I have him in is about a 30-45 yard shot. Setup an e-caller (what's the best type of call?) and decoy around there and wait or is there a better option? I'll be using a 22 hornet for this guy. The spot seems pretty good since there are plenty of bear, deer and this guy on camera. Disregard the date and time - the battery died and I failed to reset it. The pic is actually from early June this year.

I got my last one by leaving a bag of Taco Bell on the front seat of my truck.
He was gorging on a Supreme Burrito when I showed up
Then he met my .44 mag as he tryed to bail.
One shot. One kill!

Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

Did you shoot it while in your truck?

Well they like to follow me, I think they know I'm allergic to them.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3
