I know the feeling coach, pulled out the reeds and started warming them up.

Since I got new strings and cables, and was out from shooting for a few weeks, the old Hoyt and I have not been seeing eye to eye. Long story short, we were a bit out of tune. After struggling a bit the other night and getting pretty frustrated, I decided to hit the reset button on it all!
Put everything back on, Square everything up, and put her through paper this evening. Back to bullet holes

Getting gear all squared away for today so I figured I'd post up a few packing pics. First is food. I take a lot of calories per day. I have a high metabolism, and though I can operate on fewer calories, I feel much better and much stronger if I fuel adequately. My body runs well on this, and I don't burn out.
Breakfast will vary, but it's usually a butt hole sandwich or like this meal, it's a cup and a quarter of granola and a heaping scoop of vanilla protein powder. Add water and you have protein packed granola. Also missing is a wilderness athlete hydrate and recover drink mix, which I have with dinner.
I remove my MH from the packaging so I can fold the bags flat. It really saves on space. Daily rations are seperated into gallon ziplocks for easy access and to ensure I don't skimp on food.

This is basically everything that goes in the pack, whether it's an overnight trip like this weekend, or a 9 day idaho mule deer hunt.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I buy good lightweight equipment, but more importantly I pack what I need to be comfortable and sustain me for a long hunt. If that means a bit more weight, then I'm gonna carry it. Let me see if I can get a weight. Stand bye for a few.
