Were you guys fishing bait or spoons, hoochies? Do you guys fish with downriggers when it's that shallow or do you use delta divers? Congrats by the way, we fished the point in a derby again , we caught 5 but nothing legal, the one that we did catch that was legal was an inch to short :chuckle: terribly slow out there, we were on the water at 4:45am and the derby was over at 2 pm we just kept on fishn until 5 though, it was gorgeous out there on the water

Heard the grass was minimal and shiny things where popping lines off downriggers.

I fished Thursday and Friday got one Thursday on high and one yesterday on low. Benn fishing one hour before both tide changes otherwise there is so much moss and grass its hard to fish.

My cousin and I went out yesterday ( the 20th ) and got skunked, 14 fish got checked in by 4 pm which isn't very good out of the amount of boats and half of those were caught outside and no real size to any of them, the biggest being 15 pounds!! Washaway got fogged in real bad and the exchange was big. The grass was bad the further you got to toke point!! We fished from sun up and came off the water at 3:30 we wanted to fish longer but had stuff we needed to do :bash: Hoefully we get a big rain pretty soon, we need a new shot of fish to head in.. If that happens the derby should be a good one, weather dictating of course!!
