For the most part, they want you in there as little time as possible. If you see a game warden in there, talk to them, they can generally look at their watch and tell you exactly where elk will be at whatever time, wanting you to get in there, get your elk, and get out. :chuckle:

Shouldn't be a tough hunt, the huge Bulls will most likely not be in the open.  There are about 3 elk fields planted for elk.  Some of the guards are tight lipped, one or two may give you good advise.  They also can and probably will help you load the elk up but not a given.  Toilets are around and if you get your bull right away, you can stay the season in there to hunt bear and cougar. Pretty neat place, if your not picky you will get a bull, if your looking for a pig, you'll have to get lucky or work hard.   If you don't have help let me know, I could always call in sick during the week!

You Lucky!! You're going to have fun!
Maybe take a Trigger Stick with you. It's hard to find a place to get a dead rest. Kneeling and sitting aren't much of an option in most places either. I wouldn't mess around. But that's just me. The first couple of days the bulls give you more time, but after that they get spooky. Good Luck and have a ball!
Oh yeah, you'll also want to have a good CB radio. There's a lot of heavy truck traffic in there and it's nice to let them know your location and know theirs every half mile of so.

It's good and a cb is a good idea, you never know if the security guys will try to get a hold of you or not if they see a bull.

It would be worth going back in just to spend more time in there.  Supposed to be a few cats and bears in the shed, and you could just look for sheds.

There are lots of both. PM me if you'd like to know more about the unit.
