Idaho is blessed with an abundant amount of National Forest and State land. You can hunt for a long time and never worry about being on private ground. You need to decide what tag you want to buy, what area, and then go from there to pick a location.

That is a good unit for whitetail and elk. Lots of good bucks come out of there and the elk hunting has some good seasons but the B tag has a limited number of tags to buy. I doubt they will sell out, but just so you know.

My brother in law is in charge of over 17,000 acres of public hunting land above Priest Lake. It must be good due to the number of big bulls that he and the family has pulled out of there.
