Ocean shores fishing
« on: July 21, 2016, 06:12:37 PM »
My wife's folks have a lot on the canal in ocean shores and we are going to spend the day down there Sunday I have a 10' Jon boat I was thinking of bringing down. Is it worth it? I'm not much of a bass fisherman I'm more looking for trout. Thanks in advance.

Is it the canal that is between the burbs and the ocean?  I stayed down there for a summer and caught a lot of trout on worms.  There were a few carp in there as well.

I live here, but don't fish the lake (too much salt water fishing to do).  I think the best trout fishing was probably a few months ago.  However, the lake is nice to get out on and it would be worth it if you just want to ride around.

I'm not saying that you won't do well, there are some nice big trout in the lake, just don't think now is the best time.

Good luck!
