Fishing rod restoration
« on: July 25, 2016, 08:12:56 AM »
Does anyone know of anyone in the area who is into old fishing rod restoration?  Went thru my storage shed over the weekend and found some old bamboo fly rods that I got when my father passed away a few years back. Three or four of them seem to be complete and there are other various pieces I didn't try to fit together.  I don't know that they were great rods when new, but I think most are from the 30's and 40's.  He was an avid fly fisherman and upgraded over the years.  I think it would be fun to have them restored even though I only stoop to fly fishing when I can't catch them on a worm. I'd probably consider selling them if someone was really interested.  I have no idea of their value.
